This foil set allows progression to a high level, you can surf the wakes with no handle, pump from wake to wake, perform airs, carve like your in balls deep powder on a snowboard and progress to a really high level of foil riding. The 155 size shreds on big wakes from surf boats, but also the bigger surface area allows you to catch smaller wakes more easily. So if your riding on a smaller boat this is going to make your life much easier, it still turns super good, it just flys with less force from the wake. We also reccomend this 155 size if you are a bigger, heavier person as it will stay in the power of the wake longer and with less effort from you. 
 
This set would be pretty tricky to teach a total beginner, unless that beginner has good boardsport skills already. So if you can already wakeboard, wakesurf, kitesurf or snowboard super good,  you could learn on this foil and have unlimited progression ahead of you. This is not the foil you want for teaching all your non-shredding buddies to ride. 
 
This set has an alloy mast, you can also buy the same set but with a carbon mast, which just makes it stiffer and more responsive but unfortunately also more expensive.
